This artwork was inspired by the beauty of the Australian Callistemon plant which grows so prolifically in our Australian climate. It is part of an ongoing series of work dealing with fire and the simultaneous devastating and renewing effects of our burning landscape. The Callistemon renews quickly after a bushfire, and the painting is about hope and nature's ability renew and sustain us.
